Not long after I got the car, I
felt the wipers needed to be replaced.  So I purchased a
quality set of replacement wiper blades.  While they were
not factory items, they were a good brand and seemed OK.
Then the weather got cold and snowy and I found that the frames
that hold the wipers would lose flexibility and the wiper blade
did not make good contact on the windshield.  This lead to
streaky wiping and times when some parts of the window would not
be wiped at all.  This made it difficult or even impossible
to see and I would have to stop and mess around with the wiper
blades.  They can be seen through the windshield in the
				picture below:

				This was unacceptable.  I
recalled seeing a new style wiper blade in the store but had
been reluctant to purchase them because mine were so new and
because I was not convinced they'd adequately conform to the
				windshield.

But since I was having problems
I decided to give them a try.  About this time a friend
with a BMW happened along and I noticed she had them on her car.
They came with the car.  I asked how they worked and she
commented that they were great.  So I figured it was time
				to try them out.
As luck would have it I
purchased them on a night with freezing rain.  This is the
				ultimate test of wiper blades.

I installed them and found them
superior to anything I have used for a long time.  If you
like they uncluttered look of simple things, you might find they
even look better than the old-style wipers!  You will need
one 20" blade and one 22" blade.  Links for online purchase
of the comparable Bosch Icon blades (same design and
				performance) are below.
